Community needs more people who know how to show up.

Civicship Works helps young people move from being reached to building relationships, participating with purpose, and leading in the communities they call home.

Civicship begins with an invitation. People cannot connect, participate, or lead when institutions and communities never intentionally reach out to them.

The civicship journey

Participation grows when people are invited into it.

Civicship is not a single lesson or event. It is a progression. We begin by reaching people intentionally, help them build meaningful connections, create practical opportunities to participate, and support them as they grow into leadership in their schools, neighborhoods, workplaces, and communities.

Begin here

Engage

Reach out intentionally, make the first invitation, and connect civic learning to real interests, questions, and everyday life.

Build relationships

Connect

Build relationships with people, institutions, opportunities, and communities that can help young people move forward.

Put it into practice

Participate

Practice asking questions, navigating systems, contacting leaders, using resources, and contributing to public life.

Carry it forward

Lead

Develop the confidence, habits, knowledge, and responsibility to help others and strengthen the places we share.

People can enter the journey at different points.

Civicship Works helps schools and communities create the next meaningful invitation.
